Lycra Forefoot Sleeve with 6.4 mm Slow-Rebound PORON Brief
Identity withheld; incoming OEM reproduction brief based on an existing physical prototype
Challenge
The incoming brief requests accurate reproduction of a stretch Spandex/Lycra forefoot sleeve with an integrated cushioning/offloading pad, custom pad geometry and toe openings, and separate left and right versions.
Requirements & Questions
- Work from an existing physical sample and/or technical drawing and reproduce exact dimensions and toe-opening geometry.
- Integrate customer-specified PORON material; the customer is evaluating 6.4 mm slow-rebound PORON and asks about customer-supplied or factory-sourced material.
- Assess tooling or mold development and make a prototype/sample before mass production.
- Support private-label retail boxes, labels, logo and barcode printing; ISO 13485 site-specific evidence was requested, not established by the brief.
Materials & Structure
Selected: stretch Spandex/Lycra sleeve, integrated PORON-family offloading pad, custom pad and toe geometry, and separate left/right construction. Under evaluation or still open: the exact 6.4 mm slow-rebound PORON grade and source, attachment method, tooling, final drawings/tolerances, branding and packaging specifications.
Requested Validation Gates
Requested gates are technical feasibility, review of the existing sample and proprietary drawings, confirmation of material sourcing and geometric reproduction, tooling review if needed, then prototype/sample approval before mass production. No completed reproduction, tooling, sample, test or iteration is proven.
Candidate Manufacturing Path
Relevant candidate Goldsea processes include precision foam cutting and pad integration review, plus logo transfer and private-label packaging. Suitability of these processes and the sleeve construction for this project remains subject to feasibility, material confirmation and prototype review.
Verifiable Record
The verifiable result is receipt of a detailed incoming technical brief and requirements package describing an existing physical prototype. No approved prototype, test result, certification or mass-production outcome is claimed.
